Chicano Park: Land, Art and Empowerment
Producer/Director, 60 min.

Chicano Park: Land, Art and Empowerment is a 60-minute documentary which will detail the $1.6 million dollar Chicano Park mural restoration project and explore the history of the San Diego Chicano community and the legendary park through the stories told by its artists and its murals.

Hailed as the largest outdoor collection of art and “the sistine chapel of California,” Chicano Park is a world famous symbol for community self determination, art and cultural empowerment.

Aztec Gold with Lou Chalibre
Producer

Aztec Gold with Lou Chalibre is an innovative arts and culture series hosted by a masked Mexican wrestler. Host Lou Chalibre profiles important cultual issues and mixes it up with artists such as Guillermo Gomez Peña, Gilbert Hernandez, Magu, El Vez, Astrid Hadad, Gronk, Ricardo Duffy and Ramon "Chunky" Sanchez.

East Side Story is an award-winning gay romantic comedy set amidst the often turbulent backdrop of gentrification in East L.A. This delightful feature film was a sensation at NewFest and film festivals across the country.

 

 

10th Annual LALIFF Tributes
2006, Producer

Produced tribute reels honoring Antonio Banderas, Edward James Olmos and recently departed members of the Latino film community which were screened as part of the 2006 Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival.

   

I Am Orange County
2006, Producer

This creative documentary expresses the hopes and aspirations of Latino immigrant students at four Orange County schools during one of the most contentious anti-immigrant years in recent history. Produced as part of the "I Am Orange County" social justice through technology program in Santa Ana, CA.


   

San Anto TV
2006, Producer

This engaging magazine format youth program captures the diversity and complexity of San Antonio as seen through the eyes of teen producers from the San Anto MultiMedia Institute (SAMMI). Segments include the San Anto Muralist in Residence Program, Outsider Artist Rev. Seymour Perkins, the need for skateparks and a video essay on the San Antonio punk scene.

 



2006 Dia de los Muertos Concert/Fundraiser

Organized the "Dia de los Muertos/Noche de Musica" concert/fundraiser to help raise money for the annual Festival Hall Holdiay Toy and Book Giveaway in Santa Ana, CA. The concert featured performances by Lysa Flores, Go Betty Go, Las 15 Letras, Terremoto and The Rolling Blackouts. Poster art by Acamonchi from the Nortec Collective.
